Jakarta – Universitas Sebesar Maret (UNS) menyiapkan sejumlah skema bantuan bagi mahasiswa terdampak bencana Sumatera. Sejumlah bentuk bantuan antara lain bantuan uang tunai, keringanan Uang Kuliah Tunggal (UKT), hingga layanan pendampingan psikologis.
Rektor UNS Prof Dr Hartono dr MSi mengatakan bantuan yang diberikan akan disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan masing-masing mahasiswa.
“Nanti kita lihat dari asesmen di lapangan, berapa mahasiswa yang terdampak dan sejauh mana dampaknya. Apakah nanti akan mendapatkan keringanan UKT, bantuan uang tunai, serta apakah diperlukan pendampingan bagi mahasiswa yang terdampak,” ucapnya di sela pelepasan relawan UNS ke Aceh, Rabu (3/12/2025), dikutip dari laman kampus.

Hartono mengatakan UNS sedang melakukan pendataan mahasiswa terdampak bersama Unit Pengumpul Zakat (UPZ) UNS sambil menghimpun dana UNS Peduli. Ia menekankan, mahasiswa yang keluarganya terdampak juga dapat melapor ke Direktorat Kemahasiswaan atau ke Wakil Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan dan Alumni UNS.
Langkah ini menurutnya bantu memastikan mahasiswa dapat melanjutkan pendidikan hingga tuntas.
“Nanti seluruh mahasiswa UNS yang terdampak bencana Sumatra akan kami beri bantuan,” ucapnya.
Santunan Kementerian
Terpisah, Sekretaris Jenderal Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi, Sains, dan Teknologi (Sekjen Kemdiktisaintek) Togar Mangihut Simatupang pada Selasa (2/12/2025) mengatakan pihaknya juga menyiapkan skema santunan biaya hidup bagi mahasiswa yang terdampak. Besarnya Rp 5 juta-Rp 15 juta.
Bantuan ini khususnya akan diberikan bagi mahasiswa yang orang tuanya menjadi korban jiwa, atau korban selamat yang kehilangan harta benda sepenuhnya. Togar mengatakan santunan tersebut akan disalurkan melalui Pusat Pembiayaan dan Asesmen Pendidikan Tinggi (PPAPT).
Sementara itu, Kemdiktisaintek mendorong agar pimpinan kampus memberikan relaksasi pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa dan dosen. Upaya adaptif dan manusiawi ini menurut Togar bertujuan untuk memastikan studi para mahasiswa tetap berlanjut.
